The defending champion decided to take his 8-hour rest in Ruby. He left the checkpoint heading for Galena at 2:15 am Thursday with 14 dogs on
The veteran musher was the fifth team to pull out of Ruby, and she did so with all 16 dogs pulling toward Galena.
